DGU Junior Champion of Champions – 2023

The last match in this year’s series of inter-club knockout championships was the Junior Champion of Champions played at Kirkintilloch this afternoon. In a match of fluctuating fortunes, Chris Clark (Bearsden) defeated Sam Somerville (Windyhill).

 

This was a hat-trick of DGU Championship wins for Chris this year after his success in the Junior Strokeplay and Gents Matchplay.

The final junior DGU match for Chris and Sam will be the Boys Area Team Championship at Forrester Park in Dunfermline on the 17th September where they be joined in the team by Fergus Allan (Windyhill) and Stewart Forrest (Lenzie).
