BGC – Captain’s Message – 26th February 2024

Dear fellow members,

I hope everyone that attended the recent Curry Karaoke and yesterday’s ‘Sunday Session’ enjoyed the events. They were well supported as usual and great to see the club busy yet again for these events. Madeleine advertised her Mother’s Day lunch recently which is already fully subscribed. I think we may need a bigger clubhouse…….

Just a reminder that our AGM is being held in the clubhouse this Wednesday at 7pm. All relevant reports have already been emailed out by the secretary well in advance, so I hope to see many of you there.

It has been a very busy year on a lot of fronts so I’d just like to say a massive thanks again for your continued patience as we move towards the final phase of our course development and pending clubhouse development. A huge thanks also for the continued support of the various events at the Club through the last 12 months.

Ewen Ferguson had another successful week on Tour with a tie for 7th in the Magical Kenya Open. A great start to the season Ewen and best wishes for the rest of the year!

Finally, the new golf season is nearly upon us so keep your eyes peeled for the various competitions opening up over the next few weeks. For all our most recent members, please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like more information regarding any of the Club competitions or Teams that are run annually at the Club – if I can’t answer your query directly, I will direct you to someone who can and it would be great to see you involved in these events. The Ladies fixtures are already uploaded to the diary in the ClubV1 app and all the Gents fixtures for the year should appear in the diary by the end of this week.
