BGC – Captain’s Message – 19th October 2023

Fellow Members

There have been some drone flyovers of the new course development done recently, which give a bird’s eye view of some progress made. These can be viewed by opening the following link. A description of each recording is given below. A huge thanks to fellow member Andy Butler and his son Dominic for doing this of their own accord and forwarding it to the Club.

2nd hole approximately 170 yards
Ladies, mens tees ready established and still to add medal tee.
Hole consists of four bunkers, one at the front two left side of green and one back, right
When finished you walk off side and the back of the green to the left through the trees approximately hundred or so yards to a set of four elevated tees.

Top right video
8th hole
Most of this hole will be constructed on second phase. We start with three tees as we go down the proposed route for the eight hole and the Green will be on the left-hand side of the two sandpiles.

Second row left
3rd hole
Walk down the hill from the 2nd Green, you pass four sets of Tees – par four slight dog leg to the right climb towards the green with three bunkers.

Second row right
4th hole
There is a gradual climb till you get halfway then the hole flattens out, Green has some interesting hole positions, well placed bunkers around.

Last video is another shot over the third hole, fourth, Tees and good views, hills and fields.

The footage was taken in early October, with some changes since then. We will hopefully send further updates soon.

Enjoy!
