BGC – Captain’s Message – 12th August 2024
Good morning,
A big thanks to all who attended the band and Sunday lunch event yesterday. The band were excellent, although potentially better suited to a Friday/Saturday evening event so we will no doubt have them back sometime next year for an evening once the Clubhouse Project is completed. A huge thanks To Madeleine and Team and our Bar Team as always for their service yesterday.
On the golfing front, there have been 3 holes in one in Gents competitions over the last week. John Brown achieved the feat on Saturday at the 2nd hole and Roy Francis not only achieved this at the 18th hole the previous Saturday in the Past Captain’s Texas Scramble, he followed up with another at the 15th hole in the August Medal on Saturday – amazing! Well done to John and Roy.
Our Gala weekend is fast approaching starting with the Ladies event this Thursday, Juniors on Friday, Gents on Saturday and the Mixed Gala event on Sunday. I believe there are still a couple of spaces left for the Mixed and Gents events so if anyone wishes a spot that hasn’t booked already then please do so quickly before they are gone! It promises to be a busy weekend and I hope everyone that is participating enjoys the events. Please find the links for Mixed and Gents events again below:-
