Another amazing event at Bearsden Golf Club with Frank McKenna coming out on top with a total of 41 stableford points. Michael Duff was present to give out the prizes at the end of the event.
Michael said after the event:
” I would like to thank the club and the members for their efforts yesterday, which helped to make the Donnelly/Duff Trophy a continued success.
As this year has been blighted by the Pandemic, the format was changed, but that in no way stopped 92 members from competing for the trophy. This is the seventh year that the competition has run, but the first without Paul. It was therefore fitting that one of Paul’s best friends, Frank McKenna went on to win the trophy with a fantastic 41 points.
I would also like to thank Vice Captain Andy Tarbet and Match Secretary Kenny Allan for their efforts and which made the day such a success. On top of this, grateful thanks to all of the starters who kept the day running smoothly. Many thanks also to Madeleine and her team who kept us all going with food and beverages.
The members continue to amaze us and on behalf of both the Donnelly and the Duff Families we would like to thank everyone for the £843 that was collected on the day for Cancer Research, with more monies promised. As a club we have raised well over £30,000 for Cancer Research UK through this competition, something we should all be very proud of.
Till next year!
